About-1.jpg

It’s been quite a ride for the L Train Brass Band. In 2019, they were featured on the Today Show – and for a second consecutive year – the band won Best Music Group at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, performed at Preservation Hall, and paraded through New Orleans. LTBB is a repeat artist at NYC’s Governor's Ball and HONK! festivals, and founded their own annual festival—Brasswick. The band performed for the U.N., they were booked for a private party with Jimmy Fallon, marched with Amanda Palmer through Woodstock, NY.

About-2.jpg

Founded in 2017 by some nostalgic band-geeks-for-life, the L Train Brass Band serves the NYC community by providing a truly unique, engaging—and most importantly, FUN—experience for adult musicians of all experience levels. They’re on a mission to empower adults to pick up an instrument and make music. LTBB fosters a safe, structured, and friendly creative environment by promoting self-expression and welcoming individuals from all musical backgrounds and walks of life. They engage with the public, community leaders, and educational organizations to support and accelerate the accessibility of NOLA brass band music in NYC, and beyond.

LTBB’s foundational organization Brooklyn Brass Band Collective is a New York State nonprofit supported by its members and the community at large. The organization holds 501(c)(3) status — all contributions are tax deductible, and go to support the collective and its mission.
